Do I have to sit the admissions tests at ISIT’s campus in Paris?

For all programs in addition to eligibility tests in conference interpreting, there are 2 other examination centers outside Paris: Besançon or Toulouse. You may also sit entry tests abroad, in a public institution such as the Alliance Francaise, a lycée français (a French high school) or the consulate.

The admissions tests for conference interpreting (not to be confused with the eligibility tests), are held only on our campus in Paris.

To find out more: contact our admissions manager.

How do I sit the tests abroad?

Approach either your current school or a French institution in your town (Campus France, Institut Français, Alliance Française, Embassy…). Ask for an examination room and an invigilator for the day of the tests. If one of these establishments accepts the examination conditions, you must send us the contact details of the invigilator (first name, last name, email) who will act as guarantor.

How do I practice for the tests?

By consulting past papers for the last two years.
You can find them on ISIT’s website:

They are also available on Slideshare: http://fr.slideshare.net/EcoleISIT

May I apply for several sessions in the same year?
  • No, if you fail the admissions tests, you will have to wait until next year to apply again.
  • Important note: for the Conference interpreting program, only two applications in total are possible.
May I apply to several programs at the same time?
  • Yes, all you have to do is fill out two application forms online
  • For the same program: it is not possible to apply to enter in two different years. It is better to apply to the higher level. If your level is insufficient in one of the languages, you will join the year below.
May I benefit from study grants to fund my studies?
  • ISIT provides internal grants on its own funds which can be requested when enrollment is complete. Depending on your application, a sum of €500 to €2,500 may be allocated to you and directly deducted from your enrollment fees. This grant may be renewed every year.
  • Depending on your nationality and field of study, grants may be awarded by different institutions. To find out more, visit the Campus France site which lists all the different grant options.
  • You may also request a loan at a rate negotiated at one of our partner banks.
