What happens during a typical admissions day?

 

Find all the details, schedules and addresses to sit the tests in a relaxed atmosphere.

The day before the tests

  • Please check that you have your invitation and your valid identity card or passport.
  • If you arrive the day before the tests, you may stay in one of the hotels in the area.
    You can view a map of the hotels located near ISIT.

The day of the tests

Join us for a welcome cup of coffee organized on the ISIT campus located at 23-25, avenue Jeanne d’Arc, Arcueil 94110.
To get there by public transport, follow the route advised by the RATP, the Autonomous Operator of Parisian Transports.

Coffee Break ISIT

Our team will welcome you with warm drinks and a few sweet treats to get the day off to a good start. Our team may also answer your questions on the tests or on ISIT as a school in general; feel free to ask us anything!

For entry in the 1st/2nd/3rd year

The day of the tests

From 8:00 am onwards: welcome coffee

Join us for a welcome cup of coffee organized on the ISIT campus located at 23-25, avenue Jeanne d’Arc, Arcueil 94110.

From 8:30 to 9:00 am:

entry into the admissions test room (candidates’ identity cards and seating arrangements are checked)

From 9:00 am to 13:00 pm:

  • Test 1- 2 hours: summary of subject portfolio in English and 3 questions/answers in the candidate’s second working language
  • Test 2- 2 hours: translation from the 2 working languages of the candidate’s language combination into their mother tongue

From 13:00 to 15:00 pm: break

The chance for you to grab a quick bite for lunch (thanks to the large choice of sandwich bars, bakers, mini-markets, and fast food outlets nearby) or take your time in a bistro or restaurant in the area.
Talks will be provided by ISIT’s associations for you to familiarize yourselves with the school and its student life.

You may have lunch on our campus, where the welcome coffee will be held in the morning.

From 15:00 to 17:00 pm:

Test 3- 2 hours:written and argued expression in your mother tongue on the topic of one of the two portfolios.

For entry in the 4th year

The day of the tests

From 8:00 am onwards: welcome coffee

From 9:00 am to 16:00 pm:

  • Intercultural Management, Intercultural Digital Strategy, International Strategy and Diplomacy

    • Written test: written and argued expression in the candidate’s languages (mother tongue and working languages) covering intercultural topics
    • Speaking test: individual, multilingual interview conducted with a jury
  • Intercultural Communication and Translation
    • Written test: translation from the candidate’s 2 working languages into their mother tongue
    • Speaking test: individual, multilingual interview conducted with a jury
  • Lawyer-linguist
    • Written test: written and argued expression in the 3 languages (mother tongue and working languages) covering intercultural legal topics
    • Speaking test: individual, multilingual interview conducted with a jury

Eligibility tests

These eligibility tests, which last half a day take place at 23-25, avenue Jeanne d’Arc, Arcueil 94110.

From 9:00 to 10:00 am

Tests (multiple choice questions) of your understanding of 2 speeches given in French
(time allowed: one hour)

From 10:00 to 11:00 am

Tests (multiple choice questions) of your understanding of 2 speeches given in English
(time allowed: one hour)

From 11:00 to 11:30 am

Tests (multiple choice questions) of your general knowledge in English and in French (2 sets of 20 questions)
(time allowed: 30 minutes)

Following the eligibility tests, candidates will be notified of the outcome. They will then be invited to sit the admissions tests. These tests take place at a later date, depending on the jury’s availability.

Admissions tests

  • Interviews with a group jury in the candidate’s various working languages.
  •  Interpreting exercises without note-taking, from the candidate’s B/C languages into their A language
    Time allowed: between half an hour and an hour.
